Limerick born Singer/Songwriter Mick Hanly, now longtime resident of Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny teams up with fellow Moving Hearts members, Anto Drennan and Eoghan O’Neill…for a trip to the Irish Cultural Centre in London on Sunday 22nd of November 2026
Hanly is regarded as one of Ireland’s finest songwriters. His songs have been covered by luminaries such as, Mary Black, Christy Moore, Dolores Keane, Delbert McClinton, etc….His song Past The Point of Rescue, sung by Hal Ketchum went to No2. in the American Billboard Chart and was BMI’s most played country song on Radio in 1992. In 2002 the the song passed 2 million radio plays in the US, and is still a favourite among Irish audiences.
The guitar skills of Anto Drennan are widely sought after by such luminaries as Mike & The Mechanics, The Corrs, Clannad, Paul Brady, Moving Hearts etc. His playing in always sympathetic….and dynamic when the need arises.
Eoghan O’Neill is also in the same league. Founding member of Moving Hearts, he also toured with Chris Rea, Riverdance (Musical director), Celtic Woman……he has also played on most of Mick’s albums, and produced Mick’s album Homeland.

The Irish singer songwriter started his career in the 1970s fronting The Moving Hearts Band. He set up his own band Rust Old Halo and has since gone solo, exploring his own unique song writing style. His international hit Past the Point of Rescue won him three BMI awards in the USA and had over two million radio plays.
