About the show
Our host and curator of ?Soundings?, ELANOR MOSS will play a set of her own songs, each of them new or works in process. Elanor is a folk songwriter from Lincolnshire, writing tender observations on the world, with a keen eye for the intimate details that make up our every day life. Taking inspiration from artists such as Judee Sill and Bridget St John to Fiona Apple, her songs are little vignettes as timeless as they are timely.
Eli Caravajal
Eli Carvajal's new album, Eyen Forever, is out now via Safe Suburban Home Records. Order the vinyl record now. Catch Eli on tour in the UK in October 2025.
Eyen means ?forever? in Japanese (??). Carvajal recorded Eyen Forever in his bedroom in Higashikitazawa, Tokyo, in his spare time between teaching work, during his last year living in Japan.
Eli lived in Tokyo for 2 years and 4 months, from April 2022 to August 2024. Eyen Forever is a final diary entry, a grateful farewell. Except on 35-degree days and snowy mornings, he opened the windows during recording. Can you hear Tokyo speak? The rainy season and June typhoons, the cicadas in summer.
'These songs came to me on my bike, on the metro, in my room. I never expect songs to come, but when they do I follow their steps with focus and care until their dance is through. This is what I like to do best. Through joy, loss and trouble, I have my songs.
Eyen Forever is dedicated to my twin, Shamaya.'
Connection songs that bare the light between us. Open-hearted, wide-eyed and playful, Eli Carvajal writes of lived experience in intimate, intense detail.
Blackaby
Blackaby is both the surname and musical-moniker of London-based songwriter William Blackaby. Following on from an extensive UK and EU tour opening for Flyte and playing in their band, Blackaby returns with new single ?That Thing You Said?, which has garnered support from BBC6 Music and BBC Introducing alike, being named Em Pilbeam?s Track of the Week on the BBC6 Music Introducing Mixtape.
Blackaby writes timeless songs with wit and humour, but most of all warmth, cutting through to the heart of things with his incisive lyrics and beautiful melodies. Not to be missed!

Featuring
Elanor Moss
Growing up in the fens of Lincolnshire before moving to Yorkshire to study Medieval Literature, Elanor Moss is one of Britain's most exciting emerging songwriters. After a period quietly working on her own music while writing and collaborating with artists including Benjamin Francis Leftwich, The Howl & The Hum, Memorial and Rosie Carney, Moss decided it was at last time to share her indie-tinged and remarkable music with the world.
