Two leading figures in today’s contemporary traditional music world. Their performances centre around Laura’s album ‘Vent’ – a deep, immaculately researched dive into women’s work songs (Waulking songs) from the Outer Hebrides.

Relishing the chance to transform this material on the concert stage, and gleefully tearing into blistering high octane original compositions, their performances fly by, such is the rich variation in tempo and mood, as they take the tunes apart, stitch them together again, teasing them into new shapes and textures with passion and humour.
