About the show

Join us for a uniquely intimate matinee at London’s iconic Green Note—a rare, candlelit gathering of two modern-day troubadours on a shared stage for the very first time.

Kenan Flannery Hailing from Dublin, Kenan Flannery is a songwriter for the damned and the broken. With a voice that hits with the intensity of a hundred Irish poets and a sound rooted in the raw authenticity of the folk tradition, Kenan weaves the storytelling legacy of The Dubliners with the grit of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine. Having toured across Europe and shared stages with the likes of The White Buffalo and The Wolfe Tones, Kenan brings his "bone-breakingly beautiful" songs to Camden for an afternoon of laughter, tears, and unfiltered storytelling.

The Bandit Queen of Sorrows Joining him is Leslie Fox-Humphreys—The Bandit Queen of Sorrows. A poet, multi-instrumentalist, and veteran of the rails, the Bandit Queen crafts a soundscape of dark folk, blues, and 1920s jazz. With a haunting, authentic voice and a musical arsenal ranging from banjo and cello to the Shruti box, she brings the dust and echoes of the road to the stage, performing original dark poetry and ballads born from a life lived on the move.

A Special Matinee This is a limited-capacity event in one of London’s most cherished listening rooms. With both artists making their debut at The Green Note, this promises to be a powerful, one-of-a-kind afternoon of music.
