Hank Wangford brings the Big Bass Combo to Green Note! Spanner Robinson's gorgeous vocal tones and twin bass locked into Lord Kevin Foster's bass, Mike 'El Picko' Pickering pushing them forward with his masterly snare drum and Hank's miserable songs some classics from the Wangford Hall of Pain, some form his recent albums Holey Holey and Promises Promises and some so new they've not been recorded yet are all joined by dobro wizard Noel 'The Dash' Dashwood.
A heady brew of ballads and Honky Tonk, toetappers and heartbreakers. And we'll all sing Hank's new love song to the NHS - NHS Our Precious Thing - currently released digitally and available on all streaming platforms.

The Wangford Bass Combo is an experimental exploration of the reverberant lower depths of Country music.
Hank Wangford, the grizzled Godfather of British alt. Country, is joined by two members of his band the Lost Cowboys.
Kevin KillaHertz Foster, the Jaco Pastorius of Country music, is the bass player of the Lost Cowboys, ex- Doll by Doll and with his own combo Under The Influence.
Spanner Subwoofa Robinson is the new Chanteuse with the Cowboys bringing her heaven sent harmonies to Hank’s songs. As a bass player she is an alumnus of the fine Americana band The Hallelujah Trails.
Together the three decided to explore Country from the bottom up, back to bass basics. The bass line in any song is mostly felt then forgotten and the Bass Combo seeks to home in on this unsung carrier of sad songs.
