Dana Gillespie

In the 1960s she was a folk-pop troubadour signed to Decca Records, rubbing shoulders with Dylan and the Beatles. In the 1970s she collaborated with the likes of Rick Wakeman and David Bowie, with Bowie writing her hit song ‘Andy Warhol’, and producing her 1973 album ‘Weren’t Born a Man’ (RCA Records). Through the 1980s, while signed to Ace Records, she began to establish herself as the queen of the blues that she is today, writing and recording prolifically. With a remarkable back catalogue of music and wealth of tales from the golden age of music, she continues to charm and enthral audiences across the world.
