About the show
Tonight, previewing the 606 Club’s 50th Anniversary, we are bringing to Fulham Palace for the first time our amazing “606 All Stars” 9 piece band. Featuring three world class vocalists, three Internationally recognised horn players and a rhythm section to die for, this promises to be a phenomenal night of jazz to remember. Singers featured this evening will be Polly Gibbons, Jo Harrop & Natalie Duncan alongside 606 Club stalwarts, saxophonists Brandon Allen, Alec Harper & Denys Baptiste.
“[Duncan] She draws comparisons with Nina Simone and Alicia Keys…a voice whose honeyed, silky caresses are to die for” MOJO; “[Harrop] A singing sensation… her voice is amazing…a class act” BeBop Spoken Here; “[Gibbons] truly exceptional…possessing a voice of such sizzling intensity and raw emotion you could fry an egg on it” Jazzwise
Featuring - Natalie Duncan

Natalie mentored by and collaborated with Guy Chambers on the BBC2 series Goldie’s Band: By Royal Appointment. Signed to Verve Records, Natalie's voice and driving piano, song after song, observe what we all can see and could only imagine we could see. Her music warms hearts and it can turn stomachs. Guilt, reason, heartbreak, heartache, the mundane, the profane and riding melodies.
Jo Harrop
Inspired by Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, smooth, sultry and seductive is what she does best, her performances described as sensual and moving, she sings from a place deep in her heart.
Brandon Allen
Australian born saxophonist. Having played alongside Mica Paris, Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, Omar, Humphrey Littleton and Denys Baptiste, Brandon Allen is certainly no stranger to the stage.
'Brandon Allen is arguably the most exciting tenor player in Britain today. His phrasing is unashamedly emotional, soaked in the blues tradition' (Tony Hall, Jazzwise magazine).
Denys Baptiste

Born in Hounslow, West London of St Lucian parents in 1969, Denys Baptiste is an awardwinning jazz artist, composer and educator. An outstanding saxophonist of international acclaim, Denys is renowned for his ability to make complex music accessible, creating mature, melodic, and highly memorable compositions that lodge in the memory on first hearing.
