Tony Mortimer

The former East 17 singer-songwriter who penned such hits in the 90s as 'House Of Love', 'Deep', It's Alright' and of course the Christmas classic 'Stay Another Day', which spent five weeks at no.1 in the UK singles chart and earnt him an Ivor Novello Award. The band had seven UK Top 10 singles and released four albums between 1992 and 1997, before they disbanded. Today as a solo artist Tony performs their hits along with new material backed by a live band.

Still a prolific songwriter, his 2012 solo album 'Songs From The Suitcase' came from the the fact that Tony carries around hundreds of his songs in a suitcase. No longer a boy band member, going solo has offered him the freedom to write about families, relationships, the possibilities of love and losing that love.
