About the show
Cumbia de los Muertos returns! A big celebration of life, memory and community inspired by the Day of the Dead. Come along for a vibrant night of hypnotic cumbia, festive dancing and great vibes with local Cumbia legends Malphino playing live alongside traditional Mexican Son Jarocho live and very special international guest DJs.
This will be a night of tropical Latin rhythms with the dance floor at the heart of it all. We’re coming together to honour those who came before us and the connections that keep us together through music and dance. Come experience the Fox & Firkin transformed into a colourful space with our community altar and otherworldly rhythms all night long. Everyone’s invited (and we mean EVERYONE)
Vamos a bailar, pa recordar y pa vivirlo! Can’t be missed
Featuring - Malphino
A five piece band from London, Malphino play a heady mic of Latin American music - from Brazilian Forró to Colombian Cumbia via a variety of tropical rhythms and a nod of the hat to Italian film score.
While based in London, members of Malphino hail from all corners of the world. The band usually comprises accordion, tuba, organ, gitane guitar and percussion but will often have guest instruments and vocals appearing in live performances.
