About the show
Czech writer and publisher Martin Reiner together with documentary filmmaker Martin Šmok and historian Táňa Klementová will present unique MEHRIN project, the future Moravian Jewish Museum in Brno, for the first time in the United Kingdom.
This debate offers opportunity for all the people interested in Central European history, or who even have Moravian roots, to discover how the founding team of the project is bridging the gap between lost or fragmented archives and future generations.
Programme Highlights:
The Global Hub: An introduction to the founding of the new museum in Brno and its role as a world-class center for Moravian Jewish history.
The "Voices" Exhibition: A deep dive into our current project, bringing to life the personal stories of Moravian Holocaust victims—many of whom have direct connections to the United Kingdom.
Heritage & Technology: See how we use AI technology to breathe life into preserved correspondence and digitized objects from the Jewish Museum in Prague. And get a taste of IWalks, a digital app intersecting witness testimony with authentic locations in Brno and beyond.
Groundbreaking research: Discover the crucial role of family archives on the case of Deutsch Family.
Admission: £5 (+Eventbrite fee)
