Kweku Sackey aka K.O.G (Kweku of Ghana) is a multi-dimensional creative force, combining exquisite writing skills with shamanistic live performance, fierce raps, perfectly on pitch singing across a massive vocal range and some absolutely wicked dance moves. Not to mention his skills as a percussionist, arranger, bandleader and art director. A true poet and storyteller, he uses a mix of English, Pidgin and Ga to paint sonic pictures that reach deep into the souls of everyone ready to listen.

Featuring a diverse array of hyper-talented musicians from Congo, Gambia, Bostswana and the UK, Afriquoi combine live instruments, electronics and vocal effects to create live African dance music. Drawing on fresh UK sounds (house, UK funky, dubstep, glitch) alongside traditional African melody and harmony, and a healthy smattering of ragga dancehall vocals, Afriquoi create an atmosphere and a sound world that is all their own. Afriquoi fuse live marimba, African guitar, djembe, African vocals, dancehall MCing and crisp, heavy beats, blending dancehall, soca, chimurenga, soukous, house, dubstep and electro in a powerful, uplifting, dance-friendly blend.

For over a decade, Karen Nyame KG has been an innovative and percussive luminary of dance music. Dubbed as the “Goddess of Rhythm”, KG’s plethora of African polyrhythms, low-end sub-basses, and energetic drum patterns are surefire to showcase the evolving sound of London’s club music hybridity and bounce.
