Masayoshi Takanaka, born in Tokyo in 1953, is a legendary guitarist, composer, and producer whose sound has defined Japanese music for over five decades. From his early days with Sadistic Mika Band to iconic solo works like Blue Lagoon and Legend of the Rainbow, his vibrant guitar tones have become timeless classics. Known for electrifying live performances and collaborations with global greats such as Lee Ritenour and Carlos Santana, Takanaka has built an international legacy that bridges jazz, rock, and pop with effortless flair.
