Caravan Palace

The six members of Caravan Palace from Paris have rather shady origins, first getting together after three original members were hired by a film company to provide a soundtrack for silent blue movies in 2005. Starting out as a trio soon after, the band began rehearsing their pacy Gallic blend of Electro-Swing and Gypsy Jazz. Realising they needed more caravan furniture for live concerts, they added guitar, double bass, clarinet, trombone and fiery vocalist Sonia Fernandez Velasco to their line-up, making it an unforgettable live act not to be missed!

The Parisian big band fuses hedonistic house and vintage sounds to euphoric effect. Having originally formed in 2005 the band’s eponymous debut album in 2008 set the tone of a rip-roaring party, bursting with fun and good humour.
