With a signature style of shimmering organic elements, plucky synths, and heavy, shuffling beats, his star-studded collaborations include Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Burial (an old school friend). More recently, he has joined forces with Fred Again and Skrillex to sellout Madison Square Garden and headline Coachella —a testament to his playful and mischievous versatility. The solo electronic project of Kieran Hebden of post-rock band, Fridge. What you get here is a beguiling and baffling journey into sound; a mixture of folk-inflected electronica and lo-fi murmurings incorporating elements of jazz, techno and hip-hop. His first two releases were NME singles of the week and his 2005 album, Everything Ecstatic has secured him the title of King of folktronica.
