Emma Johnson, internationally acclaimed clarinettist will play a wide range of well-known pieces for the instrument, accompanied by pianist Geoffrey Drott.

Described by The Times as "Britain's favourite clarinettist", Emma Johnson is one of the few clarinet players to have made a career as a soloist. Since winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year at the age of seventeen she has gone on to become one of the UK's biggest selling classical artists and is known for the diverse range of the repertoire she plays. She was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 1996.

Emma Johnson is one of Britain's most popular clarinettists and has established a busy international career as a soloist. Since beginning to study the clarinet at age 9 she has gone on to have much acclaimed success and has won many prestigious awards, including BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1984.

Emma has a wide repertoire, including traditional and contemporary works, and has appeared alongside many leading orchestras including the London Symphony, Philharmonia, the Royal Philharmonic and the Halle with a repertoire which includes more than 40 different concertos.
