About the show
Join us for the launch of Absolutely Belting Comedy in Letchworth!
We’re kicking things off at The Settlement with a cracking bill, headlined by the brilliant Milo Edwards! A critically acclaimed stand-up and podcaster, Milo combines sharp writing, dark humour and gloriously unexpected storytelling. From Cambridge Footlights to performing stand-up on Russian television, his route into comedy has been anything but ordinary.
His Edinburgh Fringe show Catamaran earned this five-star verdict:
“A truly sensational hour of standup.”★★★★★ — Fest
You might know him from the podcasts Trashfuture, Glue Factory and Masters of Our Domain. His writing credits include Mock the Week and The News Quiz, and his work has appeared in Private Eye and The New Statesman.
Now you can catch him live, right here in Letchworth — alongside some of our favourite comedians.
YOUR HOST — HOWARD READ
Keeping everything gloriously under control is the fabulous — and very local — Howard Read.
A comedian, writer and animator whose credits include BAFTA-winning Horrible Histories, Howard has performed around the world and even for the Queen. He also created, animated and starred in the BBC’s Little Howard’s Big Question, with further writing credits including Danger Mouse and The Furchester Hotel.
“Incredibly, achingly funny.” — Daily Mail
“Genius.” — Radio Times
