Explore Leicester's industrial, technological and scientific heritage at the Abbey Pumping Station, Leicester's Museum of Science and Technology. The museum has exhibitions on light and optics, historic transport and public health.
The main attractions though are the massive Victorian Beam steam engines, three of which can be seen in steam at special events. Situated adjacent to the National Space Centre, a visit to the two attractions will tell the story of over 200 years of science and technology; from the early days of steam and industry, right up to modern day space exploration.
