About the show
Great friends and musical/poetic co-conspirators Newtown Neurotics and Attila the Stockbroker have done countless gigs together over the last five decades in Britain and Europe, including three groundbreaking tours of East Germany before the fall of the Berlin Wall. They reunite for a short run of gigs in September, including this Leeds date on the 17th, where they will be joined by local heroes Indignation Meeting.
Featuring
Newtown Neurotics
'Formed in 1979 by Steve Drewett, they began like so many others to attempt to get their clumsy fingers around three chords and ape the Ramones who were their heroes. Sporting Joey Ramone length hair Steve would sneer at cries of "Bloody Hippie" from the audience but after a couple of numbers nobody cared they just went into pogo frenzy.'

Attila The Stockbroker
Attila is a sharp-tongued, high energy, social surrealist rebel poet and songwriter. His themes are topical, his words hard-hitting, his politics unashamedly radical, but Attila will make you roar with laughter as well as seethe with anger. 'Whether he's ranting a poem or bashing out a song, there is something magnificent about Attila in full flight' (Ian McMillan BBC Radio 4).
