Stylus is LUU's award winning 1,000 capacity venue in the heart of the Leeds University campus. Following the installation of the L'Acoustics KARA sound system in the venue in 2011 (the only system of its kind in the UK), Stylus has hosted a number of sell out live shows and club nights since including SBTRKT, James Blake, Little Dragon, M83, Vagabondz, Trilogy (Metropolis & Wax:On) and LUU's own student night Fruity.
Sister venues Mine and Pulse at a capacity of 450 and 350 respectively are often used in conjunction with Stylus to host multi room club events as well as running their own standalone gigs and club nights. Mine and Pulse are also popular venues for LUU club/ society socials and private parties.
Leeds University's The Refectory is a 2,100 capacity venue in the heart of the Student Union building. Perhaps the most famous live recording ever made, The Who Live in Leeds, was recorded in The Refectory. More recently, The Refectory has played host to the likes of The Strokes, Basement Jaxx, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, James Brown, Muse, The Streets and Franz Ferdinand.
Riley Smith Theatre is Leeds Uni's oldest and recently refurbished student theatre, playing host to loads of fantastic performances and ceremonies.
