All proceeds in aid of Parkinson's UK Oxford Branch.
Blake's Heaven Big Band
Blake’s Heaven Big Band consists of some of the best players in Oxfordshire, and beyond. The compositions are fresh and interesting and the arrangements have been crafted with a new twist, keeping it challenging for the players and entertaining for you. Blake’s Heaven Big Band delivers thoughtful, high energy, contemporary big band music with the charismatic vocals of Linda Blake in blues, latin, funk, soul, rock and jazz swing styles. The repertoire influence stems from the likes of Charles Mingus, Bob Mintzer, Stan Kenton, Dave Brubeck, Buddy Rich and, the recent, Gordon Goodwin and GRP All-star big bands. Many of the charts have been tailored to feature individual members of Blake’s Heaven Big Band to showcase their innate talents.
