Music in Islip announces the acclaimed Croatian baroque violinist Bojan ?i?i? will give a solo recital by candlelight in St Nicholas’ Church, Islip on Sunday 19 April at 8pm. Bojan, who now lives in Oxford, is Director of, amongst other positions, the Academy of Ancient Music and Professor at the Royal College of Music in London. His recital includes some of the most celebrated works ever composed for solo violin: Biber’s Passacaglia from the Rosary Sonatas and Bach’s Partita in D minor concluding with the amazing Chaconne.

Croatian-born classical violinist who studied in Paris and London and has performed with many acclaimed ensembles including Trevor Pinnock and the European Brandenburg Ensemble.
