Lost Robins. British folk-punk band formed in 2025 by young musicians from Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, and the Fenlands. They are best known for blending traditional Celtic instrumentation with high-energy rock to deliver witty, politically charged storytelling for the millennial generation.
The Frestonians. This Ipswich duo (Peter and Wendy) blend punk energy with indie rock and new wave. Following award nominations from NMG and Radio Wigwam, the band has enjoyed a massive 2025 with heavy radio rotation for their string of successful new singles.
Chris Asker. The Askernbury festival organiser and Ipswich’s own “anti-punk hero”. He brings his signature acoustic singer-songwriter set.
Jennifer Ness. UK singer-songwriter and pianist crafting emotionally rich, piano-led songs that explore love, loss, family, and the passing of time with striking honesty.
Featuring - Lost Robins
Formed in the summer of 2025, this ragtag of seasoned young musicians from Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire and the Fenland areas are hellbent on keeping folk music alive and kicking out at the modern world.
Their stacked-up symphony of electric guitars and hard-hitting bass’n drums, peppered with the fiddling’s of accordion, flute, and violin creates an organised mess that would make the Levellers proud.
The Frestonians

Formed in Ipswich in 2019 by Peter and Wendy, The Frestonians are a new wave duo known for blending punk energy with melodic hooks.
During the UK lockdowns, they built a strong online following with live-streamed gigs, catching the attention of BBC Radio Suffolk and the John Peel Centre. They now perform regularly across East Anglia.
Key milestones include:
2022: Released their debut EP, Midnight, followed by BBC Introducing "Track of the Week" honors for "Lock Away My Soul" and back-to-back NMG Award public vote nominations (2022 and 2023).
2023: Released two more EPs: Live in The Smokehouse and The Slow Dance.
2025: Released a string of singles ("The Long Road", "Vibe", "Fake Friends", and "Tell Me"), with more new music arriving in Autumn 2026. Nominated in the NMG Awards and the Radio Wigwam annual awards.
2026: Played several festivals, including Sax Fest, Askernbury, The Suffolk Show, Somersham, and the Burstall Show. Nominated again in the NMG Awards.
Through their label, Frestonia Records, they also promote local gigs at Ipswich's The Smokehouse, hosting acts in 2026 including Lara Price, Monkey Foot Down, Chris Asker, Mulholland Jive, Rob Prince, Luke Fisher and the Ghost Tides, Jon Parker, and Matt Whitton.
