About the show
A supergroup formed especially for Howden live’s 40th anniversary made up of three hugely talented musicians from Hull who have all played their part in our musical history, starting off with an acoustic set and then a full blown electric one, expect MAXIMUM R&B!
ft: Keith “Ched” Cheesman former Member of the Rats with Mick Ronson, ex of the legendary Doghouse Skiffle Group and a featured player with the recent tribute to Mick Ronson Turn and Face the Strange. Bit of a double whammy for Ched as he is back in the Shire Hall two weeks later on March 21st with his beat combo One Whiskey, One Borbon, One Beer supporting the James Oliver Band.
Then we have Les Nicol, someone else with a pedigree almost as long as your arm previously guitarist with Leo Sayer, The Nicol Band and lately the Les Nicol project featuring some of the best musicians to be found anywhere.
Last and by no means least we have Steve Foulston, for many years delighting audiences with The Steve Fulsham Band as well as fulfilling a long standing ambition to play more of the music of rock legends Free with Absolute Free.
This evening will be a tremendous sum of its part, each of these guitarists are worth the price of admission on their own, to have the three of them performing together promise to be something very, very special indeed.
