About the show
Funny Girls is a fabulously funny show featuring some of the finest female/non-binary comedians on the circuit. The show makes a welcome return to Brighton & Hove for a Sunday afternoon matinee in the Brunswick’s Cellar Bar, featuring SIX comedians, plus musical comedy from host Hannah Brackenbury!
Our headliner is the one and only Clare SummerskilL - described as ‘engaging and charming’ by Time Out, and ‘one of the funniest women in the country’ by What’s On, Clare performs an original cocktail of stand-up and comedy songs.
Also on the line-up: Donna Williams, Katherine Kenway, Jess Barry, Sarah Charsley and Jess Nicks.
Show host Hannah Brackenbury adds some award-winning silly songs to the mix.
Featuring - Clare Summerskill
Actress and comedienne and one half of the comedy duo Alice and Clare who were voted Best Cabaret Act of the Year by The Pink Paper. She has often been referred to as 'a lesbian Victoria Wood', and her shows often follow a similar character based comedy format.
