The Charlotte Carrivick Band

True North Music is delighted to present The Charlotte Carrivick Band, bringing together four of the most exciting acoustic musicians in the UK today. Charlotte Carrivick is a flatpicking guitarist of international renown, in demand for her inventive lead guitar playing and regarded as an expert interpreter of fiddle tunes on the six-string acoustic. Also known as a founding member of powerhouse bluegrass band Midnight Skyracer, and as one half of award-winning folk infused duo The Carrivick Sisters, Charlotte’s musical taste covers the breadth of the bluegrass and folk genres, as well as taking influences from old time and jazz. It was during the recording of her debut solo album, showcasing her guitar playing and tune writing, that this exceptional band was formed.

Joining Charlotte are long time collaborator and in-demand fiddler, Kieran Towers (Pet Yeti); master mandolinist Evan Davies (The Often Herd); and double bass ace and fellow Midnight Skyracer bandmate Eleanor Wilkie. Together, their music is at times joyous, poignant, dark, pensive or exuberant, featuring virtuosic instrumentals and close harmony singing.
