Kris Drever is no stranger to Grayshott Folk Club.
He played for us as a member of super group Lau, back in November 2018 and again with Chris Stout in March 2025. We so enjoyed his show last year that we have invited him back at the earliest opportunity and our gig will be part of Kris's solo tour to promote the release of his brand new album.
Kris Drever is among Scotland’s most acclaimed and distinctive contemporary musicians, celebrated for his warm voice, virtuoso and expressive guitar playing as well as his imaginative and evocative song writing.
Raised in the Orkney Islands, Drever has carved out a unique place at the intersection of traditional folk and modern acoustic music.
Among his awards are:
BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Singer, Best Original Song, and Best Group with Lau.
