January's Comedy in Goring

Carey Marx's wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.

Formerly in double-act 'Kez and Jodi', a comedy illusion act. Live wire, Canadian comedy magician. Winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival 2009, he blends dark humour with a mischievous, gleeful delivery,

'Hilariously demented' (Edinburgh Evening News)

'Excellent' (The Guardian)

'He is a masterful stylist, gracefully switching from surrealism to sardonic irony' (Skinny Fest)

'Anecdotally debauched... But if his lines are frequently sick, they're elegantly written, too, and there's a childlike glee to his naughtiness' (The Herald)

'A darkly comic Quentin Tarantino' (Chortle)

'Opium for the people' (Broadway Baby)

'supremely crafted comedy' (The List).

Samantha Day is a British stand-up comedian and former city tax accountant who started her comedy career at age 50.

Jonathan Elston is a fresh, punchy, gag-driven comic who combines sharp joke writing and quirky observations with a youthful likability that charms his audience and endears him to any room.

However, as with many top comics, success means is Jonathan rarely to be found out of a coach or car. The carbon footprint that Jonathan has created since his career began is big enough to have destroyed a football pitch sized hole in the Brazilian rainforest!

Despite the havoc he is wreaking on the rainforests, Jonathan is steadfast in his focus and continues to be one of the most sought after young acts working the circuit.

'A young comic with incredible talent' (The Guardian).
