Linda's Celebratory Ceilidh

Lin organised the GBH Ceilidhs alongside Lawrence throughout their marriage and it seemed too good an opportunity to miss when the legendary Bismarck's decided to reunite during 2026 to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary. Unlike the ceilidhs we ran at the Borough Hall from 1976 to 2020 this dance will be held on Sunday, from 3:00 to 6:30pm. We would like as many of Linda's friends as possible to join us in celebrating her life and she would have loved it if they could be joined by their children and grandchildren. Barn Dancing is enormously enjoyable for people of all ages. With this in mind we have booked top dance caller Barry "Baz" Parkes who has called for family barn dances throughout the country (including at the Borough Hall).

All profits from the dance will be donated to the Phyllis Tuckwell and Sam Beare Hospices who did so much for Lin. All the costs of the ceilidh will be be kept at an absolute minimum thanks to the generosity of all involved.
