About the show

Formed by Les Carter (aka Fruitbat) in 1998 after the breakup of Carter USM, Abdoujaparov are named after a former Tour De France cyclist. The band's musical foundations are the joyous and shambolic influences of 1977 Punk Rock & New Wave, but there is so much more than that under the covers.
“Abdoujaparov bring the fun, spirit, singalong lines and, of course, the lead singer of 90s legends Carter USM – Les ‘Fruitbat’ Carter. He’s the man having most fun by miles and is endearing, funny and a good old fashioned frontman.” - Gary Trueman, Devolution Magazine
“Watching Abdoujaparov live is the closest I'll ever get to seeing Carter. Love them.” - Jim Bob
Abdoujaparov are Les Carter (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Richy Crockford (Bass & Backing Vocals), Adam Bomber (Drums & Backing Vocals) and Jon Barnard (Lead Guitar). Since their formation, the band has released eight EPs, four singles and six albums on Spinach Records. They have toured worldwide, racking up over 600 gigs, from tiny clubs to big festivals.
Support act TBC. Pop-up bar and refreshments available.
