Laurie Brewster and Joe Casey present Shy Bairns Get Nowt, a split bill comedy show from two of Newcastle's fastest rising stars.

Laurie Brewster is a So You Think You're Funny? 2024 finalist and Beat The Frog World Series Finalist for 2025. He was also shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Award 2025 and the winner of the Ram Comedy Festival New Act of the Year 2025.
Laurie has been praised for his "proper jokes, coloured by self deprecation" (Chortle) and his "sharp and fast-paced humour that never fails to impress" (The Stand).

Joe Casey's musings have seen him shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Award 2025 as well as winning the Cavendish Arms Crown in 2024. He has been recognised by some Scottish comedy greats for being "engaging, original and very funny" (Vladimir McTavish) and for being a "super big hitter" (The Stand).
