Former members of dance hit makers Sub Sub (best known for their no.3 hit 'Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use), who as Doves became purveyors of indie-rock anthems like 'Pounding' and top ten singles 'There Goes The Fear' and 'Black And White Town'. Their mellow guitar-driven indie sounds with irresistable chord arrangements sometimes give way to playful dance undercurrents.

After a lengthy hiatus, the band announced in December 2018 they were back. 2020 saw them release music for the first time in over a decade. 2025 sees the release of their sixth album, however their touring band will be without frontman Jimi Goodman.
