About the show

Backbone Comedy participates in and produces regular comedy nights, podcasts, radio shows and has consistent involvement in GICF and Edfringe every year.

As the passion project of Glasgow Comic, Jimi Longmuir. Since 2018, Backbone Comedy has become a collective of hardworking, hilarious and sound comics who seek to do things a little differently to what's expected of them in the industry.

For Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2026, we will be appearing every Sunday night throughout the run with a very special compilation show. It will be an honour to hold these in Calabash. As a vibrant and unique venue that compliments the values of Backbone, Calabash is close to our hearts as well as being a well regarded hub of the African and refugee communities.

Expect controlled chaos featuring Backbone's agents of Daftness and Laughter from across the festival.
