About the show

Twice Mercury Prize–nominated and five-time Ivor Novello–nominated art-pop innovators Everything Everything come to Frome this February for a rare, intimate in-conversation and acoustic performance.

Frontman Jonathan Higgs and guitarist/producer Alex Robertshaw will be joined by BBC 6 Music presenter Chris Hawkins for a special up-close evening exploring the band’s music, stories, and creative process.

Renowned for their infectious earworms and high-concept sound, Everything Everything reached new heights with their latest album Mountainhead, which became their sixth consecutive UK Top 10 album. Its standout single Cold Reactor emerged as one of 2024’s biggest streaming and airplay hits, earning major support from Radio 1 and 6 Music.

The band continue to draw devoted audiences, recently completing a sold-out UK and EU headline tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of their seminal album Get To Heaven. This Frome appearance offers fans a rare opportunity to experience the band in an intimate setting and hear the stories behind the songs, stripped back and up close.

Hosting the conversation is Chris Hawkins, one of BBC 6 Music’s most respected broadcasters, whose interview credits include Calvin Harris, The Killers, Florence Welch, Dave Grohl, Björk, and Jack White.

This Manchester outfit blend falsetto vocals with synths, guitars and discordant pop hooks. Quirky singles like 'Photoshop Handsome' have seen comparisons to XTC, Wild Beasts and Django Django, but the band also have a sound all of their own.
