About the show
Carol Grimes has and continues to live an extraordinary life spanning 8 decades and over 60 of these as a vanguard and advocate of women musicians through the swinging sixties and as an activist and led the Rock Against Racism movement.
This special evening will be hosted by her friend and influential musician and feminist Annie Whitehead who has walked alongside Carol through some of the most significant and challenging times for women working in the music industry.
It is important that we do not lose the legacy that Carol Grimes has helped shape and that the truth behind not only Rock Against Racism but for all of the women who still face challenges regarding age, gender whilst standing in their power.
There will also be a performance by Carol and Annie and other special guests.

Annie Whitehead
Leading British jazz trombonist and internationally renowned virtuoso player. Annie has performed with numerous artists ranging from Clara Bley and Robert Wyatt to Elvis Costello, and she has appeared on over 50 albums, including five under her own name.
