Following the retirement of The Blues Band from touring, their two legendary lead vocalists, Paul Jones and Dave Kelly, continue the music they love with intimate acoustic duo performances.
Rugged, timeless and as popular as ever, the blues continues to inspire new generations of musicians. But its true depth – its virtuosity, soul and storytelling – comes with experience, something Jones and Kelly have in abundance.
As founder members of The Blues Band, their roots run deep within the tradition. Alongside their own original material, they perform classics from blues greats such as Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson – artists they not only admire, but played alongside and befriended.
With over 25 years as presenter of his BBC Radio 2 R&B show, Paul Jones is a master of blues vocals and harmonica. Dave Kelly, widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading blues guitarists, has performed with icons including Buddy Guy and James Burton. Together, they create an unforgettable live experience – a stripped-back, powerful celebration of the blues. For true fans, this is as authentic as it gets.
