A day of sparkling live music by the internationally renowned composer Sir Malcolm Arnold, for orchestra, chamber forces and brass.
Celebrated cellist Julian Lloyd Webber launches a day of live performances honouring the music of Malcolm Arnold at Cripps Hall and St Matthew’s Church, in the composer’s hometown of Northampton.
The Malcolm Arnold Festival, a community-focused annual celebration, will showcase the composer’s sparkling chamber, brass and orchestral music performed by guest ensembles including the Northampton Symphony Orchestra and Towcester Studio Band.
An affordable Day Ticket offers low-cost entrance, with free admission for students and those under 18. Tickets for the evening’s Gala Concert at the church are priced separately, see full details on the website.

Julian Lloyd Webber

Widely regarded as one of the most creative musicians of his generation, Julian Lloyd Webber has collaborated with an extraordinary array of musicians, from Yehudi Menuhin, Lorin Maazel, Neville Marriner and Georg Solti to Elton John, Stephane Grappelli, and Cleo Laine, among many others. His outstanding recordings include the Brit Award-winning Elgar Concerto, conducted by Yehudi Menuhin which was chosen as the finest ever version by BBC Music Magazine.
