Boston trio GA-20 bring their raw, no-frills electric blues to The Old Brewery Store, Faversham on Saturday 24 October 2026, touring their new collaborative album with the legendary Charlie Musselwhite.
Since 2018, guitarist Matt Stubbs, guitarist and vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans have stood at the front line of a traditional blues revival — the place where blues, country and rock 'n' roll collide. Drawing on Otis Rush, J.B. Lenoir, Howlin' Wolf, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor and Earl Hooker, they play vintage guitars through vintage amps, usually cut live off the floor in a single room. The Guardian called it "scything, growling riffs, driving grooves and defiant vocals."
In a short career they have taken three number one placings on the Billboard Blues chart and four Boston Music Awards for Best Blues Act, alongside wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards and New England Blues Awards. Their 2021 Hound Dog Taylor tribute, released via Colemine in partnership with Alligator Records, and the chart-topping Live: Vol. 1 established them as genuine torchbearers for the genre.
Their 2026 album Blues Now, made with 60-year blues statesman Charlie Musselwhite, captures the raw spirit of Chicago blues with a modern edge. This show falls in the heart of that album cycle.
The Old Brewery Store sits within the Shepherd Neame brewery site, Britain's oldest working brewery, founded 1698. Capacity 250.

GA-20 was formed by friends Pat Faherty and Matthew Stubbs in Boston, MA in 2018. The project was born out of their mutual love of heavy traditional Blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll of the late 50s and early 60s. Faherty and Stubbs bonded over legendary artists like Lazy Lester, J.B. Lenoir, Earl Hooker, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Junior Wells.
Feeling a void in current music, the duo have set out to write, record and perform a modern version of this beloved art form. Joined by drummer Tim Carman in 2019, GA-20 is a trio of 2 guitars, vocals and drums. Raw, passionate and honest performance, both on stage and in the studio, is the only goal.
