A Winter Festival of Fantastical Delight
Dust off your goggles, fire up the flux capacitor, and prepare for a night of chronological chaos, festive enchantment, and mechanical mischief! The Steampunk Yule Ball is back — and this year, we’re inviting you to step through the folds of time itself at the Time Travellers’ Ball.
Will you arrive as a Victorian villain, a futuristic dandy, a post-apocalyptic explorer, or a glitter-drenched chronomancer? Wherever (or whenever) you’re from, all are welcome for an unforgettable night of music, performance, and Yuletide mayhem at Exeter’s biggest alternative winter celebration.

Come as your past self, future self, alternate reality self, or a completely fabulous figment of imagination. Steampunk couture, chrono-glamour, sci-fi rebels, clockwork queens and Victorian vampires all welcome. Prizes for best-dressed time travellers!

Professor Elemental
Professor Elemental is a steampunk mad professor. His hobbies include adventure, invention, and a good cuppa. Aside from a few of his experiments (best left unmentioned), the Professor first got himself noticed with the track Cup of Brown Joy. The video has notched up over a million views on YouTube. He performs at all kinds of shows, from hip hop gigs to burlesque, festivals to wedding parties.

Samantics
Samantics is a one man machine of honesty, energy, words and noise. Using lyrics to portray his own unique vision of the world we’re all wandering, he speaks and shrieks from the centre of his erratic heart. Using a trolley full of sounds, including ukulele, bass, beats, piano, harmonies, blips and bloops and more, all brought together with loop station and sampler to create a hot pot of powerful, noisy poetry. It’s not quite hip-hop, but it’s not quite not.

Devil's Doorbell
Leading the recent Kennett & Avon canal narrow-boat music explosion! This dynamic duo play upright string double bass with Katie "Jellylegs" Johnson, who sports more sequins and feathers than is legally acceptable! And her partner in crime Nipper Lewis, with his kazoo and banjolele. This duo play some originals along with reinterpretations of 1920s swing, jazz and skiffle tunes! A few bawdy numbers, this is an act that works well for children and parents with a quick wit and shrewd mind ;-)…
