About the show
St Mary’s Music School is delighted to be joined by the Choirs of St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral for their annual Spring Concert in the inspiring setting of St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral.
The Cathedral Choir, Benedicite Cathedral Youth Choir and Cathedral Choristers come together with our pupils to perform Requiem, Op. 9 by Maurice Duruflé, with guest soloists Katherine Aitken (mezzo-soprano) and Paul Grant (baritone).
The programme will also include Saint-Saëns’ Super Flumina Babylonis, performed by mezzo-soprano, accompanied by strings, organ, saxophone quartet and chorus.

Dedicated to advancing music education, St Mary's Music School is committed to building meaningful connections within existing music organisations, while nurturing the next generation of musical talent. Public events and masterclasses are open to young musicians from across Scotland, whilst term-time Saturday Music Classes offer early learning to younger children in the local community.
It’s a fundamental principle of St Mary’s music school that our world-calls music education should be offered to gifted children regardless of financials considerations. Aided places or funding are available to all pupils.
