Cult American singer-songwriter Amy Rigby brings her new memoir Girl To Country to Leith Depot Thu 11th of June, for an evening of readings and songs followed by book signing. Picking up where her debut Girl To City left off, Girl To Country follows Amy from New York to Nashville and beyond—even making a stop or two in Edinburgh along the way.

New York based singer/songwriter who mixes country-tinged tunes with amiable and often riotous humour. She started a country band in eighties New York City, went on to form girl group The Shams, and began her solo career in 1996 with the US hit album "Diary Of A Mod Housewife". Her five solo albums embrace pop, country, folk-rock, psychedelia and the indefinable.
