October at the Braw camp is going to be quite a stacked month – I’m overwhelmingly pleased to welcome back from the crypt, BONG II, the redux. Like a sativa scented phoenix rising from the ashes of yore, Newcastle’s mighty BONG II recommence where the first incarnation left off, with even more spiced out drone and doom from the precipice of the outer limits. Having played the mighty Supersonic Festival in Brum and a handful of shows down south, this will be one hell of a reunion from one of my favourite projects for years.
Oh, there’s more! Traversing across the Rubicon (aka. the M8 motorway) will be Glasgow’s finest purveyors of occult rock and fried up psychedelia - and dear old friends from the scene, LUCID SINS. If you caught them at the Banshee a couple of years back or at their various gigs around Scotland, you’ll know not to miss out on the rare chance to see this juggernaut in the flesh. Your fortune has been cast, the dice has been rolled - so refill your lighters and head through to the capital for this double header of hedonistic drone and vintage guitar chops.

Bong II marks an entirely new phase of existence born from the smouldering cosmic residue of Bong. Reuniting drummer Mike Smith with vocalist/bassist Dawn Terry, the duo now steps boldly into uncharted sonic territory with the addition of Daniel Foggin of Newcastle's Smote.
Bong II are both a continuation and a transformation. The ritualistic heaviness and repetition continue as ever but the familiar drone monolith exudes strange new frequencies.
