About the show
LAND OF THE GIANTS return to Looe!
No Kernowfornia? No worries... we'll be 'main stage' at The Admiral Boscarn for a proper Crimbo knees-up... basically on the beach! (well, as close too as a pub gets).
Support from The Kahunas and Kid Hyena
Featuring - Land of the Giants
For over 15 years now; Land of the Giants have been packing out venues and festival tents with their raucous songs and contagious enthusiasm. A brass section that will make you grin from ear to ear + killer beats, heavy bass lines and Andy Quick's sensuous, soaring vocals; will make you wonder why you've never danced your socks off to The Giants before!
The last few years have seen The Giants unrepentantly tour the length and breadth of the UK, spreading their fresh and accessible sounds to venues and festivals alike. From their residency at Glastonbury, packed out stages at Boomtown and Beautiful Days to rocking epic venues from Ireland to India… they are a “must see”.
The Cornwall-based boys are currently working on eagerly anticipated record number 4. Recent singles 'Shine On’ and ‘Talking To Me’ are soon to be joined by ‘Quiet Life’ and ‘Junior’.
The six-piece collective scooped “Best Live Act” at the 2025 MidiTV Music Awards and have been tipped by many as “one of the best emerging live bands in the country”. So put your hands up, surrender, and get those dancing shoes on.
Kid Hyena
A musical culture clash formed on the backstreets of Barcelona, Kid Hyena fuse tap dance & body percussion with alt rock, synth's, samples & dynamic sing along tunes!
“Not many bands these days, if any at all take tap dance and throw it into a spell binding mix of alt rock & catchy tunes, but that is exactly what Kid Hyena do”
The Kahunas
Four to the floor, raw, urban folk music. The Kahunas live a Nomadic life on the road, taking their sound to festivals, venues, parties and clubs up and down the country. The Kahunas released their debut album in October 2023 - this self-titled album was two years in the making, a culmination of their experiences on the road, the people they have met and the places they have visited.
Formed in 2021, the couple started writing songs together, playing at open mics and busking. Two years down the line, Brian and Tash have released two EP's Folk Law and Ghost Notes. They have supported bands such as 3 Daft Monkeys, Tankus the Henge, Toyah Wilcox, Ushti Baba and the Leylines.
