About the show
After two sold out shows, both weeks in advance, Daventry Comedy Club returns on Saturday 13th June with another outstanding night of live stand up from Short Circuit Comedy.
If you joined us before, you know how these nights feel. If you missed out, this is the one to get in early for.
We bring some of the very best comedians working in the UK to Daventry. Tour level acts with major TV and radio credits, performing up close in an intimate room.
Opening the night is Larry Dean. Multi award-winning and a regular on Live at the Apollo and Mock The Week, Larry combines sharp writing with brilliantly honest storytelling and a huge stage presence. A strong way to start the evening.
In the middle spot is Julian Deane. Widely regarded as one of the best joke writers in the country, Julian delivers perfectly constructed punchlines with relentless accuracy. The laughs do not let up.
Headlining are The Noise Next Door. The UK’s premier improv comedy troupe and stars of Britain’s Got Talent and Live at the Apollo. Everything is created live from your suggestions. Fast. Fearless. Completely unique to the room.
Hosting the night is Carl Jones. An in demand MC known for his sharp crowd work and effortless control of the room, Carl ties the whole show together and keeps the energy exactly where it needs to be.

Larry Dean
Glaswegian comedian Larry Dean's stand up career started in 2008; in 2013 he was named Scottish Comedian Of The Year and in 2015 he was nominated for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Carl Jones
After winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival ‘Newcomer to Comedy’ competition after just a handful of gigs, Carl has gone on to reach the semi finals of Amused Moose Laugh Off 2011, win both Manchester and Preston ‘Beat the Frog’ competitions at the first attempt and survived the dreaded gong at the Manchester Comedy Store. As a regular member of Nottingham’s top improvised comedy group ‘MissImp’, Carl can also be seen at their monthly residence at Nottingham’s ‘Glee Club’, bringing a unique brand of quick wit and occasionally rude, laddish humour to an otherwise enlightening and informative evening.
