About the show
A very special concert to celebrate the life of Glenn Bearne, a much-loved member of Mariners Away sea shanty crew and Chairman of Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF), who passed away in March, just a few weeks before his 75th birthday.
Mariners Away and ELF have joined forces to host this truly special night at Bow Village Hall with all proceeds in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) and Glenn's memory.
Glenn wasn’t just one of us.. …he was right at the heart of Mariners Away - a warm, witty, mischievous and much-loved member of the crew whose presence lit up every practice and performance.
He also gave so much of his time as Chairman of the ELF Crediton Fundraising Group, supporting an incredible cause that continues to change lives.
This evening is for Glenn.
To remember him… to celebrate him… and to do what he loved most - bring people together through music.
