About the show
Jamaican-born soul and R&B powerhouse Ruby Turner is one of the UK’s leading soul singers. From her big break with Culture Club and her critically acclaimed debut album Women Hold Up Half the Sky — to performing with Jools Holland at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert and being awarded an MBE, Ruby has established herself as a household name.
To date, Ruby has released 17 albums including The Motown Songbook which saw her collaborate with legends of the era including The Four Tops, The Temptations and Jimmy Ruffin.
A Festival favourite, Ruby returns with her band to the intimate setting of the Great Hall for a masterclass in soul.

She has released numerous solo albums and guested on releases for the likes of Brian Ferry, UB40, Steve Winwood and of course Jools Holland. This amazing singer/songwriter is blessed with a voice to die for, whether she's performing jazz, soul or r'n'b. In addition to her solo singing career, Ruby is an accomplished actress on TV, film, and the West End stage.
