The Cambridge Indiepop All-dayer will be taking place on 16th November 2024. Bringing the DIY live music fun since 2016, our previous events have featured Me Rex, Lande Hekt, Darren Hayman and Emma Kupa, The Spook School, Peaness, Dream Nails, Jetstream Pony and more.

This event has sold out every year so far, so we strongly advise getting advance tickets!

Beckon

Beckon (formerly knowns as Athabaska) is an alternative folk/heartland rock collective based in London. Led by songwriter Faith Taylor, the group formed in 2018 and have been gradually building an arsenal of melodic, textured songs braiding themes on nature, loss, power and justice. For fans of Anais Mitchell, Hiss Golden Messenger, Jeff Buckley and Bonnie Raitt, Beckon takes audiences on a journey from mourning to irreverence. The band is currently working on their first album.

Fightmilk

Formed in the beer gardens of London in 2015, Fightmilk create sweary, stroppy, shouty 90's tinged pop-punk, and take influence from Sharon van Etten, The Beths, Charly Bliss, Bully, Speedy Ortiz, Liz Phair, The Lemonheads and Japanese Breakfast.

Mammoth Penguins

Cambridge Mammoth Penguins make careering melodies backed up by scuzzy guitars. This 3-piece indie pop powerhouse showcases the songwriting and vocal talents of Emma Kupa (Standard Fare, The Hayman Kupa Band) backed up by the noisiest rhythm section in indie pop. The band have picked up airplay from Radio X and BBC 6Music, including playing a live session for Marc Riley.

Model Village

Formed in the summer of 2008, Model Village are a sophisticated indiepop outfit. The band’s mix of jangly guitars, boy-girl harmonies, upbeat melodies and downbeat lyrics sit somewhere in the niche between Belle & Sebastian and The Promise Ring. Influenced by Jim O’Rourke, Prefab Sprout, Yo La Tengo, Steely Dan, Red House Painters, and Camera Obscura, the group pulled all these threads together in their sound.
