MSBC Xmas Special 2024

We'd like to thank everyone for their support during 2024. We have seen some amazing acts and so to celebrate, we have organized a bumper night of fantastic music to get you in the mood for wassailing with your friends and neighbours (hic)! The line-up, so far:

The Sepia Swing Show Twins, or should that be Triplets, featuring The God Of Thunder.....Mr. Paul Taylor - our very own hosts Nick Hyde & Dave Raphael the Harpmeister, with selections from their acoustic blues repertoire!

The Rag & Moan Men - rootsy, bluesy acoustic joy featuring: Martin Wood (guitar & vocals), Andy Wilkin (percussion & vocals) and Dominic Geraghty (double bass). Entertaining audiences for the past 15 years across the south of England, the Rag & Moan Men are living proof that the Basingstoke and Kennet Canal is a long-lost tributary of the Mississippi Delta!

The Dustbowl Sinners - you have to witness this eclectic mix of double bass, banjo, slide dobro, mandolin, acoustic guitar, harmonica, washboard and accordion; there's probably a kitchen sink in there somewhere! Expect an eclectic mix of material; Americana meets blues hollers via soulful gospel and the jug band. This is going to be fun!

Steve Brookes - we enjoyed his appearance in July so much, we just had to get him to come back; a solo acoustic set of blues and roots, incredible songs and fantastic playing. What's not to like!

For this special show, doors open at 7pm: showtime is 7:30, carriages at 11:30pm.
