About the show
Celebrated author Kevin Crossley-Holland will be presenting a fascinating talk he has created especially for the Woolpit Festival: And Their Skins were Green (Four Supernatural Suffolk Folktales). Kevin will not only re-tell, but also re-examine the historical background and cultural influence of four of our most renowned folk stories, including The Black Dog of Bungay, The Wildman of Orford and, of course, our very own Green Children of Woolpit!
Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and winner of the prestigious Carnegie Medal, Kevin is author of over 75 books. Perhaps best known for his Arthur Trilogy of historical fiction, he has also translated and re-told many Norse & Anglo-Saxon myths. Kevin is a prolific and highly regarded author across many genres.
