About the show

Returning to Theatre Royal, genre-defying string quartet Bowjangles bring their trademark irreverent mix of physical comedy, improbable dancing, soaring vocals and, of course, virtuosic string playing to their latest show: Classically Untamed.

A jam-packed celebration of their favourite routines from the last 18 years together that has taken them from The Royal Festival Hall to Glastonbury Festival, via Off-Broadway NYC, a tour of China, International Street Festivals and the Edinburgh Fringe. Along the way, they’ve appeared on the BBC, ITV and Sky News, picked up multiple awards (including Mervyn Stutter’s Spirit of the Fringe) and garnered plenty of 5-star reviews.

Bowjangles appearing at this event

Bowjangles are musicians who can really play. They dance whilst they play. They sing whilst they play. They leap, tumble, juggle and joke whilst they play…

Bowjangles have been together 12 years touring the world with their unique brand of performance. Their 2018 show 'Excalibow' won the 'Spirit of the Fringe' award at the Edinburgh Fringe.
