About the show
Join us for An Evening with the Anglo-Saxons, including food, at Drinkstone Village Hall. Starting with a talk by Angus Wainwright, The National Trust’s Regional Archaeologist for the East of England, about the many treasures and mysteries of Sutton Hoo, there follows an authentic Anglo Saxon two course meal prepared by Claire from Teacups in Woolpit. Then Helen Geake – a member of Channel 4’s ever-popular Time Team for many years - will speak about her behind-the-scenes adventures with Time Team.
This is a charity fundraiser for the Bury Drop In. Our thanks to Helen, Angus, plus Teacups in Woolpit, for forgoing any fees to help make this event a success.
